To all Rail and River Patrons,
It has been a very eventful week.
I had a great idea to bring a first class Tapa’s bar to Fort Langley that could serve families with a goal for everyone to enjoy the Tapa’s experience. I thought it would be great if the little ones (or the big ones) want the great food The Fort Pub serves, no problem, we can accommodate you all. That was the vision; unfortunately, what happened is not what we had planned out. It was a mix of poor communication and a misunderstanding of what Tapa’s are, that lead to the most spectacular failure of my ownership of restaurants. For that, I apologize to you all. For those that wrote in and were very blunt and honest with your assessments, I thank you.
Our team is very good at what they do, I dropped the ball. Please give us a chance to show you how good we actually are. The existing “very small”, “over priced” tapas are gone. We are going back to the Rail as it was run during COVID – starting Friday. Our Fresh Sheet will have 4 – 5 entrees for the Rail and River, plus the menu we have used the last 6 months when open (The Fort Pub’s). The Tapa’s are not dead, we have a goal to bring it back…. done right this time.
Thank you again for your candor, honesty, and hopefully your forgiveness. We would truly appreciate a second chance. We all love this business and we all strive to treat you as family guests. Sometimes things happen and boy was this one of those times.
All the best and have a great summer and thank you all.
Owner, Rail and River
